Job description

1 - 5 years related experience. Basic knowledge of distribution and transmission systems. Specific job application of personal and mainframe computer systems. Practical electricity and protective device coordination. Skills: interpersonal; verbal and written communication; customer service; analytical; good computer skills and proficiency working in various software applications such as GIS, Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes. Abilities: problem resolution; address multiple tasks simultaneously; handle constantly changing and emerging priorities. Education Associates preferred.

•Nice to Have Skills: Dispatch skills (call centers, 911 operations centers, utilities, etc.)

•High Level Project Overview: monitor and dispatch outage trouble calls, analyze outage calls that come in to determine location of problem, prioritize all emergency work, outage and non outage work for first responders, talk with customers to determine power issues they are having.

•COVID Remote Policy: all training on site with social distancing and mask guidelines, temperature checks at beginning and end of each shift with questionnaire to log entries, plexiglass barriers between work stations to help social distancing.

•Preferred Years of Experience: 1-2 years of experience in dispatching and/or customer service preferred, 1-2 years of computer training or skills preferred, Associates Degree preferred

•What soft skill requirements do you have (team fit and personality requirements)? Looking for energetic and personable candidates who have a good customer service personality that can talk with customers and field workers all day with a good attitude even during stressful or busy times. Being coachable/trainable because there is so much to learn with this position.

•Are there any specific companies/industries you'd like to see in the candidate's experience? Any 911 dispatch centers, Utility Dispatch, call center customer service.
