Harmonia Holdings Group, LLC, an award-winning federal government contractor, has an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst to join our team in McLean, VA.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst to join our team in Washington D.C. The ideal candidate will be experienced in interacting with product owners to gather requirements and assist with helpdesk calls. To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed; meet the education and work experience required, and must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. Other duties, in addition to the below, may be assigned as necessary to meet business needs.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Support business analysis, planning, and design functions in the following domains:
    • Communication
    • Strategy, risk, and organizational analysis
    • Process flows
    • Stakeholder analysis and collaboration
    • Service requirements
    • Solution and performance analysis
    • Business architecture and change management documentation
  • Work directly with business users to gather requirements, develop product backlog items, and groom user stories and requirements
  • Facilitate training sessions and knowledge transfer of business requirements to the various application/systems owners, developers, and project managers
  • Author, create and develop processes, procedures, and documentation from high-level discussions or requirements
  • Investigate and analyze information to draw conclusions and interpret business needs and effectively translate them as functional requirements
  • Develop reports and presentations, as required, for senior management review
  • Perform impact analysis activities for one or more applications
  • Troubleshoot application problems
  • Recognize and escalate issues in a timely manner

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Employer-based sponsorship is not available for this position
  • Four-year college degree or five years of experience in a related field
  • 2 - 3 years of experience working on IT projects as a business analyst
  • Public Trust Clearance

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, along with patience, a customer-friendly attitude, and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Competent in all phases of business systems analysis techniques, concepts, and methods.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced agile environment.
  • MS Office Suite
  • Agile Scrum or Kanban
  • Team Foundation Server
  • Balsamiq Mockups

Preferred Skills:

  • SharePoint
  • Microsoft Project

Other:

  • Work location: Any Harmonia Office. Temporarily remote due to Covid precautions
